L’OREAL CARTER
L’Oreal (Lampley) Carter (She/Her) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work is rooted in her philosophy that theater is the most impactful agent of social change and awareness. This Newark, NJ native holds a BA in English from Franklin & Marshall College and an MFA from Brown University/ Trinity Repertory Consortium. Her love of words, combined with her desire to hold performance to its highest standard, has allowed her to shift rooms, change breaths, and plant seeds of introspection amongst audience members of the most eclectic demographics. L’Oreal is dedicated to creating spaces where Truth can jump from the page then land, and live in the heart.
Her work spans Off Broadway: For Colored Girls (The Public Theater); Coriolanus (Delacorte Theater), Regional: Pride & Prejudice (Arkansas Repertory Theater), Flyin’ West (Indiana Repertory Theater), Othello (Trinity Repertory Theater), and The Tempest (Resounding LIVE) and VoiceOver: TVOne, Olympics, Nike, WNBA, & video games.
L’Oreal is the Resident Theater Director at Plimoth Patuxet Museum and a Smith Fellow at Franklin & Marshall College for Acting. L’Oreal is a trained vocalist. L'Oreal is the Head of Theater at Blair Academy in Blairstown, NJ.
