MIA ELLIS
Mia Ellis (She/Her) is an actor, producer, narrator, and writer originally from Mississippi.
Some of her TV/Film credits include: The Good Fight, Elementary, Person of Interest, The Surrender (SWSW 2025), Lavender Men, and Louder Than Words. Additonally, some of her theater credits include: The Amen Corner (Shakespeare Theatre Company); Fairview, The Mountaintop, Intimate Apparel, Ragtime (Trinity Repertory Company); A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Alabama Shakespeare Festval); A Raisin in the Sun (Seatle Rep); Hamlet (Santa Cruz Shakespeare). She produced the feature film Lavender Men, the short film Softer, was the Unit Production Manager for the short film Narrow, and worked as a production assistant on the short film You Say Hello. Mia wrote, co-produced, and performed her one-woman show, Two Grey Hairs, at Under St. Marks Theater in NY. As a narrator, Mia has recorded audiobooks with Dreamscape Media, Tantor Media, Brilliance Audio, Audible, and Penguin Random House. Mia was also cast in Welcome to the Blumhouse Live, a 2021 Emmy Nominee for Outstanding Interactive Program, produced by Little Cinema, Amazon Prime, and Blumhouse. She is currently playing the role of Jennifer (u/s Chrissy/Michelle/Laniece) in the National Tour of the Tony Award-winning play JaJa’s African Hair Braiding, directed by Whitney White and written by Jocelyn Bioh.
